In the Know

If you’re familiar with the taste of traditional healing Chinese herbs (even though yellow dock does not hail from Asia), you will welcome our Yellow Dock Root Tea into your arsenal of medicinally-minded herbal teas. If you aren’t, then gather your courage and venture into what most experience as a bitter, yet potentially healing, tea-drinking endeavor.

What Exactly is Yellow Dock Root?

A Native American powerhouse, yellow dock belongs to a family of plants that includes rhubarb, sorrel, and buckwheat. When it comes to its power to purify, cleanse, and renew, however, this highly beneficial herb beats the heck out the others. When used as a tea, yellow dock root is usually prepared for medicinal purposes, rather than for the focus of a delightful afternoon tea party. Rightly so!

Health Benefits of Yellow Dock Root

To list all the claimed benefits of yellow dock root would make us seem like snake oil salesmen. Suffice it to say that if you can get past the bitter taste, your body will thank you. Again and again …

  • Sweeps the gallbladder and spleen
  • Loves bile, which helps with liver cleanses
  • Hates kidney baggage
  • Encourages trips to the water closet

Taste is bitter but the results of the tea is sweet. I love it; I'm a repeat customer. Try it, you might like it.

Review Title: Intestinal warming

Review by Michele on March 20, 2019
I was using it for a cleanse. I did not experience the “liver squeeze“ that some speak about, but do have a gentle warming in the intestines. Occasionally I could feel muscle twitches in the lower belly area. Found it palatable and not particularly bitter. People that can’t tolerate the taste of cilantro would probably find this too bitter.

Review Title: Such a great quality tea

Review by Chaniceon March 15, 2019
I've been making a lot of changes to my diet and also wanted to rid myself of all toxins. When I found this website I was so excited because it has literally everything I need/want. This Yellow Dock Tea is exactly what it says ... POTENT! The quality is great ... it's like one tea bag could almost make a whole pot of tea. The flavor of yellow dock itself is actually veryyyyyy strong and not tasty at all, but I'm still giving the category 5 stars because it's not a bland tea and you can tell it's great quality.

Review Title: Awesome Tea’s

Review by Beaon July 6, 2018
The tea’s are awesome they help regulate all parts of your body and it enhances your mood.

Review Title: Different

Review by Charleson March 15, 2017
The tea is not your normal off the shelf morning tea. It does have a bit higher than normal bitterness to it, but I'm drinking it for the benefits, not for the elegant tones. The good far outweighs the bite. Try it, you won't be disappointed with the results.

Review Title: Bitterrrrr!!

Review by Ebonyon March 7, 2017
Beware of the Bitterness! I have yet to get used to the taste, but I have to drink it all for the Health Benefits.

Review Title: Love this tea!!!

Review by Melinda on February 21, 2017
This tea is amazing while detoxing; the taste is durable not like most where the bitterness is overwhelming.

Review Title: Just what I needed

Review by Edgar on February 20, 2017
Been drinking it 2 to 3 times a day for a week now and noticing less bloating and flatter stomach. Not as bitter as Neem tea but does take some getting used to.
