Watermelon Hibiscus Agua Fresca
Ingredients
- 5 Buddha Teas Organic Hibiscus Tea sachets
- 4 cups water
- 3 cups watermelon juice (from 5 cups of cubed watermelon)
- Juice of ½ lime
- 3 tablespoons honey or sweetener of your choice (adjust to taste)
- Ice, for serving
- Lime wedges or fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from the heat and steep the hibiscus tea for 5 minutes.
- Dissolve the honey or sweetener of your choice in the tea.
- Remove the tea sachets and allow the tea to cool to room temperature before chilling in the refrigerator.
- While the tea chills, blend or juice the watermelon and strain if you prefer a smoother drink. You should have about 3 cups of watermelon juice.
- In a large pitcher, combine the chilled hibiscus tea, watermelon juice, lime juice. Stir until combined.
- Serve over ice and garnish with a lime wedge or fresh mint.
Tip: For the brightest flavor, serve the agua fresca the same day it's made.
